Children's Healthcare of Atlanta’s
Child Protection Center is seeking a full-time BC/BE child abuse pediatrician to
join our expanding program that serves 3 hospitals and provides services to two
child protection outpatient clinics. Responsibilities
in this position will include providing expert consultation on suspected child
maltreatment cases on the inpatient services of Children’s at Scottish Rite,
Egleston and Hughes Spalding campuses, as well as development and implementation
of a child abuse pediatrics fellowship.
Outpatient clinical services will include participating in an expanding
telemedicine network serving communities throughout Georgia.
The position will include dedicated research time.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta includes 520 inpatient beds at 3 hospital campuses. In 2009, there were approximately 25,000 admissions and nearly 200,000 Emergency Department visits. The Child Protection Centers serve approximately 1300 children per year. Children’s is affiliated with Emory School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine. Working at Children’s Child Protection Center offers a physician wonderful opportunities for clinical service, teaching, research and child advocacy at the local and state level.
