The University of Texas Medical School at
Houston The UT-C.A.R.E. Center has an open full-time position for a pediatrician with experience caring for maltreated children. The Center operates a busy clinical consultation service in both outpatient and inpatient settings that include a pediatric Level I trauma hospital. We also serve as the hub for a statewide child abuse consultation and education program funded by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Center physicians are actively involved in teaching of residents, medical students, and non-medical professionals about child maltreatment, and we conduct research on various child maltreatment topics. The University offers strong support for research and faculty development. Houston boasts several major-league sports teams, a strong arts community, excellent restaurants, good schools, a relatively low cost of living, and of course a famously balmy climate.
